These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit zanmicro.com, use the Zanmicro Android app, create an account, place an order, make a payment, or otherwise use our shopping services. “Zanmicro”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Zanmicro in Zanzibar, Tanzania. “You” and “customer” refer to the person using the service or purchasing products.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using the service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a purchase contract, or use the service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Accounts and customer information
You must provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for protecting your password, sign-in token, and device and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may ask you to verify account or order information before making sensitive changes.
3. Products and availability
We try to present product names, descriptions, photographs, specifications, colours, stock, and prices accurately. Device displays and supplier changes may cause reasonable differences in colour or packaging. Images are illustrative of the listed product and may include packaging that changes without notice. All products are subject to availability. We may correct a clear error, limit quantities, withdraw a product, or decline an order where stock is unavailable, information is materially incorrect, or fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected.
4. Prices, discounts, and taxes
Prices are shown in Tanzanian shillings (TZS) unless stated otherwise. The checkout summary shows the product subtotal, applicable discount, delivery charge, and total payable. A promotion applies only during its stated period and subject to its stated conditions. If an obvious pricing or calculation error affects an order, we will contact you before fulfilment and offer a correction or cancellation with a refund of any amount already received.
5. Orders and contract formation
Submitting checkout is an offer to purchase. An order reference or automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of the request but does not guarantee acceptance. An order is accepted when we confirm it for fulfilment after successful payment and availability checks. We may combine products from different categories in one order. If part of an order becomes unavailable, we will contact you about a substitute, partial fulfilment, or an appropriate refund; we will not substitute an item without your agreement.
6. Mobile-money payment
You must use a valid mobile number that can receive the payment request and ensure sufficient funds are available. The payment provider or mobile network may apply its own terms, limits, and charges. Payment is complete only when our system receives reliable confirmation of a successful transaction. A delayed, rejected, expired, duplicated, or reversed transaction may require investigation before an order is released.
Your payment PIN and one-time password are entered only in your mobile network's secure interface. Zanmicro does not ask you to disclose them. Contact us if money is deducted but the order remains unpaid, and provide the order and transaction references—never your PIN.
7. Cancellation
You may ask us to cancel an order before it has been packed or dispatched. We will honour the request where operationally possible and refund an eligible payment. Once fulfilment or delivery has started, cancellation may be treated as a return and may be subject to the Return & Refund Policy. We may cancel an order for unavailable stock, inability to deliver, payment failure, a material pricing error, suspected unlawful activity, or breach of these Terms. Any legal cancellation rights available to you remain unaffected.
8. Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Delivery Policy. You are responsible for selecting an available service area and providing an accurate address, reachable phone number, and useful location details. Estimated dates are estimates, not guarantees. Ownership transfers after full payment; responsibility for loss or damage transfers when the order is delivered to you or a person you authorised to receive it, subject to applicable law.
9. Returns, refunds, and product problems
Eligibility, notification periods, exclusions, inspections, exchanges, and refunds are explained in our Return & Refund Policy. Please inspect the package promptly and preserve the product, accessories, labels, and packaging when reporting a problem. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce harmful code, scrape or copy content at unreasonable scale, use false identities or payment details, place fraudulent orders, abuse promotions, harass staff or delivery personnel, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may limit, suspend, or close an account and cancel affected orders where reasonably necessary to protect customers, Zanmicro, providers, or the public.
11. Reviews and customer content
Content you submit must be truthful, relevant, lawful, and must not violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights. You retain ownership of your content but give Zanmicro a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, format, and use it in connection with the shop and its promotion. We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
The Zanmicro name, logo, interface, text, graphics, arrangement, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Zanmicro and are protected by applicable law. You may use the service for personal shopping but may not reproduce, sell, modify, or exploit protected material without written permission. Third-party product names and marks belong to their respective owners.
13. Service availability and third parties
We aim to keep the website and app available but may perform maintenance, fix faults, or experience interruptions beyond our control. Payment, telecommunications, delivery, hosting, and other third-party services may have separate terms. Zanmicro remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law but is not responsible for a third party's independent service outside our reasonable control.
14. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zanmicro is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when an order was accepted. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer remedies. You remain responsible for following product instructions and using products safely and for their intended purpose.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how to request access or deletion. Account deletion is available in the Android app and at zanmicro.com/account-deletion.
16. Changes and severability
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Terms in force when an order is accepted continue to govern that order. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and Zanzibar. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly. You may also use any consumer-protection authority, regulator, tribunal, or court that has lawful jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising mandatory consumer rights.
